
Debbie Kupinsky- Artist
Debbie Kupinsky received her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and her MFA from Louisiana State University. She primarily work in ceramics and her creative work often explores the way we mediate experience through objects and the intersection between the human and natural world.
She has been a resident artist at the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts, The Appalachian Center for Crafts in Smithville, TN, Red Lodge Clay Center in Red Lodge, MT and the Arts in Industry program at Kohler in Sheboygan, WI. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Long Beach Museum of Art, the Kohler Company and The Archie Bray Foundation among others. She shows her work nationally, internationally and regionally and maintains a studio in Appleton, WI.
Teaching- Debbie has years of experience teaching ceramics and sculpture in higher education and in the community setting. She is the founder of Circle Street Clay and offers classes through the Peninsula School of Art in Door County, WI, The Trout Museum of Art in Appleton, WI, the Artisan Center for Business at NWTC in Green Bay, WI and the Center for Visual Arts in Wausau, WI.
Exhibitions and Sales- Debbie is represented by Abel Contemporary Gallery in Stoughton, WI and sells work at other galleries across the state including the Peninsula School of Art sales gallery and Shan Bryan-Hanson Studio + Gallery in Door County and the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend.
Look for her upcoming exhibitions in August and September 2025 at the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts in Fond du Lac, the Cedarburg Art Museum and the Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek, WI (Door County).
